New Clients
Welcome!
We love welcoming new clients to our studio and online. We also remind you that Pilates and yoga are medium-to-long-term commitments rather than quick fixes. For this reason, we kindly ask that only committed clients get in touch for sessions.
All new clients have to fill out our new client form so we know more about your injuries, goals, and lifestyle before we meet you. Click here to open and complete.

What facilities are on offer at The Studio?
The Studio is an inviting 75-meter-squared, open space with loads of natural light. We are passionate about offering a gentle service to our clients with cold water, a selection of teas, and coffee in the waiting room. We’re on the first floor in a discreet building. Our two rooms, The Movement Room and The Cadillac Room offer individual privacy and comfort.
Pilates facilities:
The Studio is fully equipped for a tailored Pilates session with 1 Allegro II Reformer, 1 Allegro II Reformer/Trapeze Table, 1 Balanced Body Studio Reformer, 1 Combo Chair, 2 CenterLine Chairs, 1 Ladder Barrel, 1 Cadillac, and 1 Springboard. We offer small group classes on the apparatus for up to 4 people. All mats and small equipment are of the highest quality. We keep our group sessions small to allow for tailored adjustments.
Yoga facilities:
The Studio is also a fully equipped yoga studio and offers private apparatus for Iyengar yoga including wall ropes, blocks, bolsters, chairs, and belts.
What session is right for me?
We recommend all new clients to our studio do a few private sessions before moving into any group sessions. Our sessions are adapted to different ages and fitness levels, and all follow the guiding principles of Pilates.
Private/duo/trio sessions on the apparatus (in the studio and online) are tailored to the individual. These sessions include work with the Pilates apparatus including the reformer, Cadillac, chair, springboard, and ladder barrel.
In our mat group sessions (in the studio and online), we offer a balanced mix of strengthening and stretching exercises, regularly making use of smaller equipment like therabands, magic circles, small balls, leg weights, and foam rollers. We keep sessions small to ensure our teaching is of the highest quality. Unless specified otherwise, clients who attend the group mat sessions need to be pain-free during movement, without injury, and of an intermediate level in Pilates. It is highly recommended clients attend at least two (2) private sessions before moving into the group mat sessions.
How do the online sessions work?
The beauty of Pilates online is that it can be practiced from the comfort of your own home with limited space and equipment. Our online studio is run by Studio Founder Bianca Ljungberg out of Sweden, where she is based. She teaches private sessions throughout the week to our clients all over the world, including the UK, Denmark, Germany, Amsterdam, and South Africa.

We ask clients to set up their space as follows:
- A yoga or Pilates mat
- A quiet place to practice with no disruptions
- A fully charged laptop/iPad with a strong internet connection
Regular online mat clients are required to have a Pilates small ball, theraband, and foam roller. We work with our microphones and cameras on for tailored adjustments and live feedback between client and teacher.
How do I book?
We have an easy-to-use booking system that can be used on your phone or online. Click here.
A reminder for Duo Appointments
The Studio does not provide your duo partner for appointments in the studio. You have to put together your own pairing. Occasionally, we are able to match you with a suitable client.
Reformer Trio Classes
Our Reformer Trio classes take place throughout the week (you do not need to bring your own training partners for these sessions).
How can I pay?
Payment for sessions is due before the session starts and can be made directly to the teacher. Most of our teachers accept payment by credit card, electronic transfer, cash, and check. Your teacher might request a bulk payment to reserve studio time in advance.
How much are your sessions?
Our pricing is available here.
What if I need to cancel a session?
We understand life gets busy but we also ask that you respect our time. Our cancellation policy is applied strictly and without favour. Sessions not canceled 24 hours in advance will be charged without exception. Cancellations can be made on the Acuity software or by email. In the event of a late cancellation due to injury or COVID-19, a doctor’s note or recent positive test is required to avoid a late charge.
What if the session is canceled?
We try to give our clients enough notice if sessions need to be canceled or re-arranged. Private/duo clients will be notified and reimbursed on a case-by-case basis. Some group sessions require a minimum number of clients to go ahead.
How do duo sessions work?
We happily arrange duo sessions for couples, friends, and clients of similar experience. The start of your session may be on the mat for clients to become familiar with the teacher’s style of training and for the teacher to assess where each client is at. After this initial assessment, it may be suggested that duo clients go into private training. Duo sessions on the apparatus require some level of experience and clients may have to change their springs.
What if I have an injury or condition?
For clients who have come to Pilates through injury or otherwise, private sessions are highly recommended. We also kindly ask that clients share with us if they are using any medication or are currently in psychotherapy or psychiatric therapy. Our teachers might request a letter from your medical practitioner before you start at The Studio.
Please note: Pilates practitioners are not qualified to diagnose injuries, read X-rays or medical documents, or prescribe exercises for injury. This is reserved for medical practitioners only. Our job is to encourage functional movement, share ideas that can be applied in everyday life, and help prevent injury. We are always happy to recommend and work alongside great physiotherapists, osteopaths, and specialist doctors in the area.
What do I need to wear?
Pilates is best practiced in comfortable gym clothing without any buttons or zips as this can damage the apparatus. Kindly do not wear any heavy jewelry. For our Pilates practitioners, it is mandatory to wear socks, preferably Pilates socks with non-slip padding at the bottom.
Yoga practitioners are encouraged to keep clean feet and are welcome to practice without socks.
Studio Hygiene
Our studio and practitioners take pride in keeping our studio and equipment cleaned to the highest standards, respecting respiratory hygiene, and letting in the fresh air as often as possible. We kindly ask that you read through our studio hygiene policy for more information.
Feedback and Reviews
We appreciate our client’s feedback so we can improve. We kindly ask that you give us your feedback with consideration and care. We work with mindfulness and respectfulness in all aspects of our studio. Any harmful language or communication is not tolerated. Kindly send your feedback to our studio founder: bianca@thestudiocotedazur.com
Reviews help us to be more visible online. Happy clients are invited to review our work on our Google Reviews page.
